Here's the final revision, at least until they sew the first sample that I will look at next week. If it doesn't turn out very well then I'll have to make some changes.

I also want a hat. Based on the turnout at the last TA meeting, you can sell a bunch of these. Throw a few bucks in for yourself. At least to defray the setup costs you are fronting.

If you haven't heard of it, you might check out the Oarsman clothing line. I picked up a shirt at Roche Harbor and it's one of my favorites.

Just FYI, that webpage I posted is not where I am getting the stuff. I'm getting it locally for a better price. I just wanted you to be able to get a feel for all the different items you can get embroidered. One of the stipulations is that I try to keep all my apparel from the same place and that will keep me from getting ding'ed on the price for having such small quantities. Right now they have no problem doing 1 jacket, 1 sweatshirt, etc. as long as they are the same brand.

UG, I'll see what I can do about getting Champion brand without getting ding'ed.

I need some feedback on the flags also, do we need them screenprinted on both sides or just one? Just a guesstimate on price would be $15 each, at least. I'm trying to get a better deal though.

Threemuch, right now the plan is to add a couple $ to each item to defer my setup charges, and if I can get those back then any extra money after that goes to Jennie. Jen was a little nervous about the upfront costs so that's why I'm doing the groundwork and she can take over after that. After getting into this though, I don't blame her! :grin: Whooooow! I didn't really do the math before starting this but when you start adding 50 flags x $15 each it starts to add up in a hurry! :shocked: :grin: Not to mention the other items. (Shhhhhhhhh, don't tell my wife!)

Their going to be really cool though and I can't wait to show them off. Hopefully I'll have a sample to show at the next TA meeting and should be able to fill all orders by the March meeting.

corrirod - Sign me up for a flag. I'm tee shirt and hat poor already, but I'd take a flag.

On the one side or two - Gotta watch for print through. This black logo will show through a thin white nylon flag I think. On the reverse side it would be backwards (unlike a TUNA which you can read either way :shocked: ). If it does then double sided would get real crowded with both images. Ask the folks about that, they should know. If there's no print through I would prefer both sides printed.
If you don't get enough action on the flags, consider changing it to an ifish logo. The main board would eat up a couple hundred flags real easy. There's been at least 5 different references to an ifish flag in the last 6 months over there.
I'll bet that there are folks on the main board that would take a Salty Dog flag as well. There's folks on that board that hang here in the summer when there's more salt action.
One way or another 50 should go real easy.

FYI:

I do have 2 dozen hats on order with the Salty dog logo on front and www.ifish.net on back, all embroidered. Out of those 2 dozen I ordered 4 different styles so we've got a little selection. They should be done in 2 weeks.

I fronted the digitizing fee so we can pretty much embroider anything we want at this point.

I would like to order the t-shirts, sweatshirts, and all that but I need a little more clarity before I do. Here are some of the issues I'm faced with right now:

1. Screenprinting is the only way to go on the t-shirts but there is a screen setup fee that is only good for 15 days after the first printing. It's not a large fee but unfortunately they will not keep the screen for more than 15 days and after that you have to pay the setup fee again, however I negotiated a slightly lower fee for future orders. What I need, in order to make this cost effective, is an accurate tally as to how many people want t-shirts and what style(long sleeve, short sleeve, M/L/XL/XXL/etc.) they want. Prices vary from $12 for basic screenprint on the back to $23 for long sleeve screenprint on the back and Ifish website embroidered on the front.

2. I did some checking on the flags but for some reason everyone wants a 50pc. minimum and we don't have that many orders but I'm still trying to find someone to do it for less.

3. There are alot of cool items we can have embroidered and some of them I checked on were fleece jackets. Right now we can get a fleece jacket, full zip or half, embroidered on the front chest for $40-$42. If you are interested please let me know.

4. Several of you asked for sweatshirts, there is a huge variance in quality ranging from $25-$45 so I need some clarity as to how much you would like to spend. These would be embroidered on the middle of the chest with a large logo.

I found a website that lists alot of pictures of the clothing I've been looking at so you might take a look on it and see what you want. I've only been looking at the Port Authority brand just because I really like the quality and pricing but I'm sure the embroiderer can get other brands. When you post your orders please include the size, style, and colors also.

Right now I'd like to limit the T-shirts to grey and white.

The sweatshirts could be a variety of colors but right now most people are asking for black w/red log, grey w/black logo, or black w/silver logo.

Fleece jackets can be grey, black, or navy.

I've already ordered 2 dozen hats of 4 varieties that are variations of black and stone colored. If you want a different color please post it but if you can wait to see the ones I've already ordered I'd appreciate it. I should've waited to see what everyone wanted first but I got in a hurry.
