Default Bend area fishing

I'm going to Sunriver next week and plan to spend at least a couple of days chasing bass. I'm thinking of Crane Prairie and/or Davis, has anyone been there recently? Any tips?

I fished them both 3 weeks ago. Craine was slow. Davis was RED hot. Fish top water when the water is flat. Focus on the reeds and the lava flows on the far north end. Make sure you bring polarized glasses, it will increase your success. If it has a little ripple on it go with large leach patterns in black or Olive. Make long cast. Craine gave me only 3 fish a day for 4 days. Biggest one was about 3.5lbs.
I was thinking things would have picked up by now. But maybe not.

Thanks, Davis sounds like fun, is the water up enough to launch a small boat easily?
