You could do like my fishing buddy, and go the next day for fall chinook. It was really funny, he had one hand done at a time. His reeling hand was all bandaged up, and we were on my boat. I asked him one time to pull the anchor, and he tried, but ended up using his one hand, and would use his teeth to hold the rope, so he could get his hand down to pull some more! It was hilarious!

I had to man the motor quickly, and we would have drifted into another couple of boats, had I not done that.
He would cast and flip the rod, so he could reel and cast all with one hand.
He wasn't going to let carpal tunnel surgery stop him from catching a fall nook. He has fishing fever bad. He ripped his stitches on this trip. We did not catch any that day.
You are smart to let it heal. Springers aren't coming in any numbers yet, anyway. By the time April is here, you'll be catching with no pain.
