Default Best bang for the buck ($) ...

Looking to upgrade as my current depth finder has seen better days. With all the new gadgets out there, which one would be your choice ? Last year was my GPS upgrade so that's covered. I do a lot of fishing in the Puget Sound area in depths of 100' to 600' .

If you have the money, get the Garmin 2006 with the black box. You get the best GPS chartplotter on the market and a good 200/50 Khz sounder for a whole lot less than the Furuno unit. The Bluechart software is fabulous. Check out RJ's post called Tuna hunt'n:

He has an actual screen capture of the bluechart.

The best fish finders in my mind are Furuno. But lowrances top end are nice too.
