Meeting of the TA minds
Dateline Hillsdale..January17th
The second random meeting of the Ifish Tunaholics Anonymous (or Albacore Anonymous) was held at the Dancing Dragon tonight (thanks Pilar and Mate for setting it up!) It was so much fun to meet and talk to so many people! Putting faces to nicks and names! The videos sure got the blood boiling! I think we sort of overwhelmed the staff! Hope we can do this more, in the future. It is a great way for people to make connections and to share experiences. I particularly want to thank Pilars Mate for taking me under her wing. I appreciate it! I will return the yellow po' now, she is too nice to keep it from! (lol)
Don't miss the next one, I won't!

Re: Meeting of the TA minds
I would like to second that.....thanks....I just wish I could got around and met more of the friends.
I am still kind of amazed by it all, all top qualitiy individuals, next summer is going to be awesome. I am still trying to figure out how to keep all the names straight when there are a dozen out chasing tuna at the same time.
I am sure the Ifishers will become quite well known on the air waves.
Thanks Jen and Jon

Re: Meeting of the TA minds
Great time folks, got to meet a lot of addicts and some wannabe's and some first mates. Can't wait to get out in the blue with ALL of you next summer. Hey -almost down to 5 months? :depressed:   It'll be here before we know it!
Can't believe we had so many guests from up the creek. Man- Newport, Sweet Home, Lebanon is a long drive to get plate of Shrimp!
The big screen TV with Pilars TUNA tape was a definate bonus. Thanks John. When we going to go short line some big Yellowfins?
WP - this is actually the 3rd installment. You musta been fishing through one of the meetings. Pay attention from now on!

Re: Meeting of the TA minds
Great get-together! Lots of time to wander around meeting and visiting, good chow, then some time to look and learn. Thanks, Pilar, for the hand-line lesson - and the gift of the finished product. I can't wait to see if it works.
And the video.... hooooboy, albacore on a skinny stick looked like a LOT of fun!
Mel, is it really gonna be f-f-five m-m-months? I wanna go NOW!
I'll post pics when I get back from Ed Wing's shop.

Re: Meeting of the TA minds
Just wanted to add my two cents worth here ... the wife and I
had a great time!! I want to especially thank Pilar again for his
demonstrations and explainations. I've been fishing TUNA for 10+
years now and have found that the more I learn, the less I know!!!
I am definatly going to try some of Pilars suggestions this season!
Thanks again to all who shared with me!

Re: Meeting of the TA minds
Great Meeting! Thanks to those who put this together. I got to meet some new folks and visit with some I had met at earlier functions. Lots of people there I didn't get to chat with too. I gotta get better at smoozing!

Re: Meeting of the TA minds
Hello TA's - great time at the meeting. Demos were first rate. The movie of the giant tuna really got the excitement going. Thanks to all for making a newbie feel welcome.
