Help for meeting of TA
Hello, my name is John and I fish for tuna ....
Does anyone have a portable TV/VCR combo to bring to the party?
My friend Jon ('Puffin') is recovering from a Godzilla (his pet blue iguana) attack but can still manage to carry a video taken on his boat tuna fishing, featuring a very bent loomis salmon rod, a hot longfin tuna and an expert fisherman (Phil). We would love to screen this bit of video for the masses but are not sure what Dancing Dragon offers for a means to do this.
I have a vcr I can bring if all we can find is a TV.
Thanking you in advance.

Re: Help for meeting of TA
I have a 19? inch I could bring but it sounds like we're going to have a very large audience. I'll bring it but we may have to view in shifts.
bring the cables!!

John- We've got a 13" combo I can bring. I forgot to pick up a handline when I was at the boat last weekend though. You got one handy ? (pun intended).

Re: Help for meeting of TA
Don't show it until we get there!!! As I told Jen, I've got to drive a hunnerd and twenny miles - after I get off work! I probably won't make it 'til close to 7, and don't want to miss everything. I can't be the only guy that lives out of town and is stuggling to make a 6pm time frame. Ouch!
Uh...does the Dancing Dragon have Mexican beer?

Re: Help for meeting of TA
Skein- I think we're going to get 40 people or so. The TV is only 13 or 15 inches. We're going to have to play it all dang night so you can catch the reruns.
PS - Don't know about the Corona's but there's a market right next door
They have Tsing-Tao

Re: Help for meeting of TA
Miss B: Bring it. We're bringing stuff to make handlines. We'll do a li'l ol' workshop.
Skein: don't worry, we'll save some food, beer and action for ya. I think Popeye has at least that far to come, but being that he's truly addicted, I think he's adjusted his day to accommodate the "schedule". See what's in store for you once you've actually fished the bullets?

Should I bring a squeegie to scrape the drool off the tv screen?

Hey RJ, You're not driving the coast all the way up to 26, then over, are you?

Re: Help for meeting of TA
Weather is beautiful here, too.
What a tease. Nice ocean in mid-January when everyone's doing boat maintenance. I swear the ocean waits until I'm unavailable and then calls!

Hillsborrow I hope we dont run into knee high/spend'r clad individuals playin banjo's Jen are you going to print out name tags? also I still would be willing to donate a tuna stick to a dinner raffle .I never got any responses when i offered earlier so i dropped the idea I just need to know before we leave town you want to raffle a fish'n pole? Re: Help for meeting of TA
RJ - I think that post was edited. I noticed you posted, but there was nothing in it.
It's Hillsburrito, man. Yeah, there's a better way, although Wak said he wasn't planning on going all the way to 26. 18 is the best bet, but it gets funky at 99. Get driving directions from mapquest.com. It's pretty good.
I don't think we can do any kind of official raffle. A door prize would be fine, though, if you want to donate something to just give it away.
I thought about name tags too late. I think I have some stashed away, but I'll be darned if I can think of where... my house is in an uproar due to the impending remodel. Perhaps I can stop at an office depot or something and grab some. Have Sharpie will travel :-)

Re: Help for meeting of TA
Hey UG,
I believe that phantom film of you pounding Tuna while us on the "puffin" were making laps around you is the tape that Pilar is going to show at the TA meeting.
If I remember correctly, you would start, go 150 yards, hookup, stop, then do it again while we were having a very nice boat ride out 40 miles in the ocean.
Man, your boat sure is "UGLY" green, but a fish wacking machine.
I hope to see you there.
Peace, Tom
