Default spinner bead size for kokanee

If I was to build my own spinners for kokanee, what would the typical bead size be? 4mm, 5mm, or? Are you using plastic or glass beads? Also, what pound test mono works the best? 8 , 10, 12? I usually fish a gang flasher but would like to try dodgers and self-built spinners when the flashers aren't catching fish. Any help is appreciated.

You can buy the stack beads or you can build your own WR spinners. Traditional bead sizes are 3,4,5,6 wb 6,5,4,3 with a size 1 colorado blade. I like to tie mine on 8lb maxima UG and use gammy octopuss or drop-shot hooks in size 4 tied tandem. Plastic beads for weight and cost issues.

Glass beads have a tendancy to cut you line so go with plastic beads. We use 6lb and12lb test on all our wedding rings we sell. We usually tie them 24 to 36 inches in length and use a size 2 or size 3 Indiana blade with a size 6 or 4 Mustad octopus hook. we also offer size 8 or 6 baitholder hooks.
