Default Google Earth Meets Terrafin

Don't know if anyone else does this, but I though I'd share it.

So I know many of you all have a Terrafin account, but for those of you who don't but still want to suck more info out of the free charts, here is a trick that I do.

If you have Google Earth, you can just save the free Terrafin charts and overlay them onto Google Earth. With the charts in that program, you can measure distances and get coordinates. Just play around with the overlay feature and it takes a bit of playing with the image to get it fitted, but it sure beats paying $99.

I do this with Coast Watch - pretty cool stuff. Coast watch automatically overlays it on the map for you.....neat feature.

Here's a sample of what you can do with Coast Watch data that is applied to a Google Earth map. This is the SST shot from yesterday.

Chromo, I have Google Earth but I'm not seeing the link or means to automatically overlay. How do you do it?
