Hey Keta - The plug that's in the picture is a Manns G50+. I was just looking at them in a Catalogue. 16" long! I'd have to make paymnets- cost $69.99 EACH! Wow- I thought those big BILL feathers were spendy.
Might have to tie that plug off on a cleat too. Not sure any of my rods could pull it!
Gunna have to read that article later- looks like it might have some good info. Gotta go do another Christmas this afternoon!

Late season, I like to run Rapala CD-18s in a couple different patterns. I run a 20 oz torpedo sinker in front of them. This year I will be running them off a diver.

Maurauder type plugs can be effective as well, but kind of spendy.

I am leary about the amount of force that puts on my cannon unitrolls. I plan to try out some different divers and lead combos to try to get some gear down to the fishees.

For hand lines (not so good for stand-ups but could be modified) you might think about using lengths of chain. Different gauge and length gives different depths. Relatively low resistance to weight and they create a bubble stream too. Attached between the line and leader they pull down to the space between diver depth and surface troll. Used them when I commercialed, oh so many years ago!
Just a thought, WP
