Default what paint to use?

My hatch blew off in the January storm (bummer, I know)...but anywhoo...
Marina Joe made me a new wood temp, and I am going to paint it and screw it down. Going to hit Eglands (sp) in the AM and grab a pint of paint to do it while I'm searching for fish off of tounge point.....
any ideas on what paint will last at least a year, lol?

I'd use something like Interlux topside enamel. Don't use linear polyurethane for that wood, otherwise it will show any little imperfection. The enamel is much more foregiving that way. You probably want to get a can of Old Salem brushing liquid (thinner) to go with it. Multiple, thinner coats are always better than fewer, thicker coats.
