Are there any other handguns (like an automatic) that handles .45 LC (.45 Colt Cowboy Round) other than "cowboy" six-shooters ?

S&W makes a double action revolver for it, as does Ruger's Redhawk. No on the Auto's, but you might find a lever action rifle that does.

You won't find a better gun than the Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt; Bisley or non- Bisley.

Taurus makes 45 Colt DA revolvers; there are Colt New Frontier guns still kicking around for premium prices, the Colt Anaconda was produced in 45 Colt.

If you really like double actions, buy a Ruger Redhawk in 45 Colt. If not, buy a Blackhawk.

If you go 45 Colt (and I love this cartridge!) then learn to handload; if you don't handload, then go 44 magnum as there are far more factory loads available.

If you go with a SRH, you might as well go for the 454 casull. It will shoot both 454 and 45 colt.

Better handload for the 454 though...the factory rounds are expensive! I just got some 355 grain bullets from Beartooth. Should be able to push close to 1700 fps. Great hunting load!
