It's a good idea to replace your strings and cables at the same time. Can't go wrong with Winners Choice. Neely strings are good ones to. I've always used Winners Choice and had no complaints.

You can order just about any set of strings you want on line (WC, Vapor Trails........) and have your shop install them for you.

OR...better yet.

Do some research, buy a portable press and do it your self. Taking care of your own archery equipment can be one of the best investments in time a hunter can make.

Touch that new string with a razor sharp broadhead the third weekend of August and you will be very glad you can take care of yourself.

I hear Winners Choice is the best, but haven't used them. Local company as well (John Day).

I shoot a mathews LX and I love the bow. last year I replaced the string. I now have a winner's choice and I love that string. I know a lot of people that shoot winners choice and I have not heard a bad thing about the strings.

Winners Choice is good, my personal preference is to go to Mike Carter (Crackers on AT) for a good set of 452x Strings and cables. If you can get on the list and send in your bow, he will send it back with a hint of Chinchilla dust that makes the bow shoot magically (he "super tunes" them at his price for strings and cables). Vapor Trails, Rock Solid Strings, Bucknasty, Stone Mountain Strings, Dakota.... there are several quality custom string makers out there. I would be a little cautious about Zebra Strings. When I was on the Mathews forum a couple years ago it seemed every other thread was about getting those bows back to specs because of stretch in the Zebra strings and cables.

i would go with winners choice strings for sure.i would highly recommend going down to the bow rack in springfield.it may be a little farther drive but it is well worth it.wayne and the guys there do awesome work.i will gladly spend the extra money and head down there and i even live in lebanon.they carry winners choice.in fact one is being put on my bow right now

I have shot Mathews bows for the last 8 years, always with the Zebra factory strings without any problems. The only time things did go wrong was when I bought a different brand that after being stetched, made the bow have a longer draw, and higher poundage- somehow the length was wrong. Went back to a string/cable similar to the mathwews installed factory type, and all was well again.

I went with a bowtech 452x flo org and silver. They were about half the price of winners choice and seem to hold up as good if not better. just a thought.
