decoys
does anyone know of anyone around town repaints decoys?? i have a few goose decoys that i would love to have repainted. id pay to have some of these done!!!
i dont want to toss these as they have been good to me, and would love to do it my self but dont have much of any decent spray equipment to them my self.
dave do you guys offer this? or get much demand from people wanting a touch up??

i think ill go buy a good set of spray guns and just toy around for a bit... any idea's on prep work, and what to look for in paints thats good on wear and tear?

my buddie and i do some but we repaint really bad decoys to some species we dont have

lol, i want these geese to look decent, and i know its only going to take time to get the hang of it. but if there aren't any companies that do it im on my own. I dont know if Dave is willing to repaint other companies (hardcores, dropzones ect.) decoys. i mean i dont blame him if he doesnt want to. just any advice would help i suppose. I'll give the shop a call and see what they have for me.

They just painted up some hardcores for our crew. It is a huge pain to re-paint them yourself and it make take 3-4 times before you get the right paint or the right coating so it sticks not to mention the mess. Much easier to hand it off and have it done so it lasts.

good to know. they match the existing color scheme or add some dsd flavor to em? ive got a couple handfulls that id like done. it would be kinda neat tho to learn to do it ur self.

Its worth any price to bring them to Dave and Brad down at the shop and have them repaint the decoys. It will save you money, time, and a headache, and not only that it will put more birds on the ground

im not doubting the performance of dsd crew, i have several dozen of them... i was just thinking that it would be neat to paint my own. save money... i dont know, with gas prices they are and they way my truck eats gas and pi$$es money could break even.
