Question Wreck Anchor

Does anyone have a photo or design for a wreck anchor. I need to build one for my brother for use on the east coast. SC.
The boat is a 23' center console. any ideas?

I had one in Fla, I used it when diving. It was a grappling hook desgn, similar to the ones you find if you google wreck anchor. Mine had 3 or 4 "points or hooks", it didn't have any extra added weight and it didn't have any chain on it either since I set it by hand. If he is going to use it for diving, IMO the design is not critical, just get the general grapling hook desgn and it will work.

Jeez, I had some nice dives just drifting with the current and "hooking up" when I saw something I wanted to look at closer. I had a couple of tether lines off the anchor line, used 'em for me and my diving buddy so we didn't get carried away by the current after we set the hook.

We usually just bend 3 or 4 pieces of rebar into a hook shape and then weld them to another section of rebar that is used as a "shaft" with an eye bent or welded to the top. Easy to make, inexpensive and no fuss when we get one stuck and have to leave it.

Similar to the photo below (assuming it shows up), but without the PVC pipe.
