If the measurements were right, the fish should be 4.66666667 pounds.

Re: PB smallie on the willy today
Were you bank fishing? I'll bet if you ask around, some of the great fishermen that fish the Willy would be more than happy to take a fine young man such as yourself out. I've read some of your posts and you are very knowlegable and capable for your age. Good job man!

Re: PB smallie on the willy today
Great fish. They don't come from the willy in that size too often. That is a catch to be proud of.

Re: PB smallie on the willy today
Nice fish. Be proud of any that you get. A personal best is always a special feeling.
My biggest Smallie was a smidgeon over 6 pounds caught at Chapman Lake near Spokane way back when smallies were not so prominant. I remember we had a day of catching Largemouth up to three pounds and simply having fun.
We were in an old wooden boat that leakes that they would rent you for $1.00 per day. It was getting dark so I started to row in and left a black maribou jig trail about 10 feet behind. The rod started to dip slowly down and I grabbed it. After a hard fight, we landed it and couldn't figure out why it was brownish (as I said not too many smallies back then). When we got to the resort the old man that ran it weighed it and told us that we had a smallmouth and a big one for his lake. He took my picture and hung it on the wall. I was proud to say I caught it back then and even now it makes me feel good. My personal best.
