I'll be running all right, running all the way up the CR going home. Not sure about that SE wind! Might be taking it on the beam all the way. Looks like we waited a week to long!
:depressed:

Where and when do we meet?
Do you want me to bring an extra exposure suite?
Can my wife buy us life insurance?
Am I crazy?

Re: TUNA - Sat 11/9/02
Question for you:
When it says;
BUILDING TO 5 FT AT 14 SECONDS or
BUILDING TO 9 FT AT 13 SECONDS.
Does that mean you barely have a chance to say a prayer?

Re: TUNA - Sat 11/9/02
Keta - You've ask that "crazy" question before. That thread got quite long if I remember!
Bonus - If there talking 5 or 9 at 13 or 14 - I'm gone fishing, no need to pray. Those are so flat with that nice long period you would hardly know you were moving. 5 or 9 on 6 seconds is different, straight up and down.
The Capn' (Toni) said the TV weather says now we are talking 25 footers this weekend (leftovers from some Hurricane or another coming this way?). Now that's some prayer seas no matter what the period is! The only difference the period would make is how long of prayer you can say!

Some of those nice gentle waves could be an after effect of that little earthquake we had up North.
Good Captian Tuni, keep him heading that boat to inland waters for the winter monsoons.

Re: TUNA - Sat 11/9/02
It's up to 25 ft. seas now!
O.k., so at Depoe Bay, that means if you cross the bar there you'd better duck going under the bridge right?
Or at the CR bar you could ride a wave over the jetty?
Or you could ride a wave right onto the Seaside promenade?
Piece of cake, I'll just hop in the old "Fish Hunter 360" and away I go off to Tuna Town!

You gotta love it when it says 'Swells building to double digit feet'.
Any hints of guilt I had for fishing my *** off this summer are fading fast.

Re: TUNA - Sat 11/9/02
Rod,
Depending on the tide, and the series coming through, you might just be able to go over the bridge at Depoe. Of course, you'll have to tilt the outboard up at the guard rails.
I think if there is any playtime for me it is back to the "flying livers" for the weekend... oops wrong forum.
On the positive side, it looks like there will finally be some rain and water in the "cricks" again.

Re: TUNA - Sat 11/9/02
Some of nature's signs of the severity of the impending storm were evident around Newport this afternoon....
the gulls were moving onshore in large numbers...
there were coho starting to stack up in the creek on Agate Beach as the rain started to get them moving up the creek...
and the surfers were looking for waves on the sandstone flats inside the bay...
