Default Seaside, OR - Surf/River fishing 10/31

Hey guys-
Was out fishing the Necanicum River on Thursday October 31 in Seaside, Oregon. I didn't catch any fish but my friend caught 3-4 good size flounders and 1 dungeness crab.

Also tried fishing on the rocks in "The Cove" in Seaside. No bites, no luck. It was nice weather so I managed to grab a beautiful picture of the coast.

Hope it works!

verysweepy-
As always, I use sandshrimp. You can either buy at local stores in Seaside or you can catch it yourself.

As far as buying sandshrimp, it's a rip off IMO. It's around $2.50 for a small container full.. maybe 10-15 sandshrimps. You can buy it at Shell gas station on 101 or go north a bit (2 miles) to a bait / mini-mart (Bob's Trailer Park or smth).

Lots of times I will go sandshrimping and freeze the shrimps I don't use. Than I'll use the frozen sandshimp the next time I go fishing or crabbing (using a small crab cage with a fishing rod). When you put the bait on the hook, put the tail end in first and the head last. Then you should "wrap" the shrimp with elastic string. I found that cutting small rubber bands from the fingers of latex gloves works better.

As far as the picture goes, I just used an Olympus C-2020Z digital camera. I took 7 (overlapping) pictures, than used Panorama Factory (free download) to stich them together (very easy to do). If you want to see other pictures from downtown Portland, I'll send you the URLs.
