You can see the plume he's fishing here:

Keep those fingers twisted together and hope the south winds next week push that little plume a little closer.

I was looking at that bubble yesterday thinking that was where the tuna were at. Now confirmed catches lets me think we will have tuna in reach in about a week. The bubble has moved about 200 miles in 1 week or so if it keeps moving at that pace we will see tuna by the 4th I would guess.

With a little closer look and some advanced sypherin' it should be about 12 days.
Just an edjumacated guess.

I am wondering if Onokai is now trying to figure out how to turn his T-Top into a sail?

Thanks Rod and Mark, both posts were informative. If you look at the latest Terrafin charts for North and South Oregon, which was a reading at 6:30 this morning when there should have been little sun warming, there are some 57 to 59 degree readings not that far off the coast. The plume that the commercial guy Mark talked about was in 62 to 64 degree water. The problem as I see it is that the 57 to 59 Oregon coast water is separated from that 62 to 64 plume by a wide swath of what seems to be about 55 degree water. The issue might be getting them to cross that cold boundary and move up north. I don't know that much, but given what I have picked up here on this board, that could be a hard hurdle for them to cross. As Mark has said in the past, we need the tuna highway and so far, there may not be a road between Mr. Commercial and some decent temps not too far off the Oregon coast. It might make some sense to keep an eye on the temp chart from noaa to see if that big patch of cold water gets pushed aside or mixes with the warmer water from the south. One can only hope.

Keep in mind these are surface temps, who knows what's going on in the "Subway" Albies spend much of their time in deeper Water, & is much Cooler down deeper, the last couple years the "Tuna highway" on the surface formed from both ends to the middle, looks like the same is happening this year.

How's this for a better picture. Things are starting to form up. Will be interesting once this blow is over next week.
