Default Roll-Call/Tuna-holics Anonymous 11/1

Tuna-holics Anonymous or Albacore Anonymous - whatever you'd like to call it -

Calling the seriously afflicted (and those who'd like to be) or anyone who just wants to join a rowdy bunch of salty dogs for a REEL good time, the next meeting will be 11/1/02.

Since Mel seemed to object having it at his place (I think he's seriously worried about a raid on his tuna stocks) we'll hold it at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse

6pm start time - I imagine it will span several hours.

Please post if you're planning on attending. I'll need to get a count for the Roadhouse. I'm sure they'll want to quarantine us.

P.S. Absolutely no disrespect meant to the memory of Don Larson or to his family. It was brought to my attention that Don's memorial service is to be held 11/1/02 in Portland.

Hey John, do you think that's an "appropriate" topic for this board? But all that aside, where would we be without "Reverend Pilar"? You'd best show up!

And put some pressure on Southpaw, eh?

All - It's a family friendly place. Bring 'em along!

Well UG, I'll look into the possibility of attending. It is a 2.5 hour plus run from here. There is work, checking with SO on plans, and we've got to promise to not talk about the "Albacore Tuna Landing License". You can tell me about all the tuna you've caught, and I can listen...

You can tell me stories about Owahee Dustbowl deer, I used to spend a lot of time in the Alvord desert area between the Owahee river and the Steens Mountains, been ages since I have made it over there. That was huge fork by the way.

I WANNA.... I WANNA.... I WANNA.... I WANNA..... BUT.....

The better half has a trip planned for that weekend and it isn't going north. Besides I will be too full of leftover candy from Halloween and suffering from a sugar high which would make my tuna fever too severe to deal with.

PM and the SD's: Sorry no go this time. :depressed: I just figured out that I have a hall pass good to go for Saturday AM. The tides are right, there is a cold front coming in, and since I already have the pickup loaded with dekes, boat, and accessories I'm going to have to pass on Albie Anon this time around and see about a few wigeon on the bay.

UG: Thanks for compliment on the buck. It was by far the largest muley I have taken both in rack and body. We'll have to trade desert stories another time.

Well Pete... enjoy your "date".

Consider your calendar consulted for the Dec. 6th. Tentative right now, but any later than that and folks are going to be scattered to the 4 winds for holiday obligations.

Graybeard, we'd love to have you! This isn't only a tuna support meeting - we're open to all fish-aholics, really!

Here's the tally so far:

Miss B Haven & Cap'n Tuni - er, I mean Toni
Threemuch
Sturgn
Pilar & Mate
Myles
Bait o' eggs (He said "probably", but I'm thinking positive)
Puffin's Crew & Mrs. Puffin's Crew
Ugly Green (you are still coming, even though your new best friend Chum King can't, right?)
Graybeard

I have the following down for maybe:
Southpaw & Mrs. Southpaw

Hey John/Tom, what do you hear about Big Jon? Will he join?

Anyone else? Again, this isn't just open to Salty Dogs or Tuna Addicts... anyone is welcome.

Hey guys - Bad news! The doc tells me I have to stay in bed for the next 3 days. Worse, he says that if I go fishing this weekend he's not to treat me anymore. Sheesh! Some people get all wigged out about a little pneumonia!

So you'll have to lift one for me!

I'll make the arrangements - all you have to do is show up at Imbrie Hall and ask for the Ifish party. (For those of you that haven't been at the Roadhouse before, Imbrie Hall is behind the old farmhouse building)

Here's the latest list:

Miss B Haven & Cap'n Tuni - er, I mean Toni
Threemuch
Sturgn
Pilar
Myles
Bait o' eggs (He said "probably", but I'm thinking positive)
Puffin's Crew & Mrs. Puffin's Crew
Ugly Green (you are still coming, even though your new best friend Chum King can't, right?)
Graybeard

Nooooo..... You gotta be kidding! Man that sucks! I think you're just playing hooky and doing a run down to the South Coast Friday night Jen!
Here - if you really are sick maybe this will make you feel better! I stole it from ******, I'm sure he won't mind. It really belongs over on the Salty Dogs board anyway!

PS - Didn't your doc tell you that Tequilla is a great cure for pneumonia. We can fill your precription at RH1 friday night! GEt well soon!

Show up to the roll call tonight and I will trim up those golden curls you are sporting. We wouldnt want of the locals down in tidewater thinking you were kind of girly, or you might not make it back home.

Hi everybody..... Looks like Pilar's Mate is down for the count. If you know Jen at all and you consider the fact that she is resigned to TV on the couch then you know she is really sick.

I will gladly take her place as host. McMenamins is not willing to give us a reservation. So we should just meet near Imbrie Hall and go together to get seated. Prolly the north end entrance will work. Once we get seated the help staff will guide in the strays.

I should get there by 17:45. See you all then.

Dog-gone-it, Miss B, if I'd have known you would pour tequila down me to loosen my tongue, I wouldn't have told an opening story either. If this gets out, we can kiss the intro story goodbye. This could cost you a fortune!

Have fun tonight!

rfisherman47 - You're welcome to come and learn , but it seems you have not done an itroductory post OR told us a story. Better take care of that or we might have to hold you down and pour tequilla down ya until your tongue loosens up and we get that story tonight!
