We basically aborted Halibut based on the weather forecast from last night. I got up at 5:30 and checked it again and said yuk. Then I looked at the buoy data and said wow that's a great ocean. Woke up the crew and headed for the boat. Crossed the bar at 7:07 and ran to the bank. Droped in lines at 8:20 and had our three halibuts on board in 23 minutes. Headed back in on a dead flat ocean. Could not of been a better trip. Fish were 32, 40, 43. Glad I checked the buoy data and not just he forecast.

Great job, I looked at it this am a just shook my head. Must be nice to live that close. Anyhow good on ya!
Actually this was a real bonus. I live in the valley but we stayed at a friends house this whole week at the coast. I left the boat in at Depoe. We never would have made the drive on that forecast.

Samben, I made plans and did not make it out either. The charter slayed them out of Newport today.
