Traeger update
There are a few Traeger threads going on out there so I thought I'd give an update as to what's new at Traeger.
First of all, they have added an new grill called the Junior or BBQ055. It is smaller than the Lil' Tex ad 292 sq. inches of cooking space (vs. 418 on the Lil' Tex) and comes with a MSRP of $469. Of course, Ifishers get a much better price than that and always a donation to Ifish with every grill purchase.
Next, they have added another built in model. The Professional or BBQ124 model now has a built in version called the BBQ123. Similar to the differences between the Executive BBQ125 and the built in version the BBQ126. MSRP on the new BBQ123 is $1095.
BBQ022 "Go-Q" has also been introduced. Weighing 18 pounds, it's a non-electric portable version to take with you wherever you go. MSRP is $129.95.
They have also changed the grill door and hopper lids on the Texas Style BBQ075, Professional BBQ 124, BBQ123 to a bronze powder coated textured finish. This replaces the stainless steel finish it had before. The Tractor grill is now in Green and Yellow, similar to what we all know as a familiar color on tractors. The Longhorn Steer is now black again and the Pig is still Pink.
I'm still committed to offering the best price out there for Ifishers and the best service to go along with it. Please feel free to let me know if have other questions and I'll answer them as I can.
Have a great day.

Re: Traeger update
Hey Ron,
Let us know when you're up our way again... we need to restock our supply of pellets for the summer
Conversly if we get down your way, we'll have to coordinate.
BTW, I just found out that Joe's (Yes, the big chain store) pays more than I do for pellets. That made me feel really good!
Nobody but nobody beats Iwish prices!

Re: Traeger update
Jen,
Are you sure? They may be telling you a little fib. Maybe I sold you the pellets at the wrong price?
I'll be at all the TUNA! tourneys so I can get you some then. If you need some before then I can let you know when I'm heading up that way. Might be next week and we should be able to work something out.
Brian,
Same goes for you. I may be up there next week and we can get you set up then.
I'll let both of you know for sure before I make the trip.
Ron

Re: Traeger update
What's that BBQ022 Go-Q like? I'm looking for something for the RV and this looks good. But without power how does it burn and get hot? Will it grill or is it just for smoking? I can't see how it would work without a fan? Thanks!

Re: Traeger update
I have a buddy who has a traeger, and I've had the pleasure of eating alot of different kinds of meat he has prepared. I was munching on a batch of Smokanee yesterday while fishing at Green Peter. Geez was it good!

Re: Traeger update
I thought that after buying my traeger
I would never need
or want another grill
and I was wrong
I am really interested in finding out more about the little BBQ022 "Go-Q"! If it works like I think it does, it is a must have on campouts.... What will it hold? 1... 2.. 3... or more beer-butt chickens?

Re: Traeger update
The Go-Q is different than your typical Traeger in that it runs on pellets with a fuel source, in this case a food safe fire gel. It's limited on how long it will burn without restocking the pellets.
They do have the Junior model and they have now made an accessory kit that allows you to level it and put it on a tailgate or picinic table and grill away. It still would require power though but that's not a problem.
If you have a hitch available and want to take your Traeger along that's easy too. They have a kit that you can mount to your Traeger and take it along with you.
Feel free to ask any additional questions should you have any. If you want to see their new models you can check out my website at www.grillcentral.net. I don't have the Go-Q on there yet but it will be up soon. All prices listed are MSRP and not Ifish prices.

So is the Go-Q good for grilling burgers and such. Does it get hot enough? Thinking I might need one if they work good for this. Thanks!
