hypnosis, does it work?

I am contemplating on going in and having it done for quitting smoking. I dont want my name in lights here. Does it actually work? Is it a one time thing or do I have to go in and have it done all the time? Thank you for your input. I do not have the willpower to do it cold turkey.

Yes it does. Only way I ever made it. Go one second,one minute one hour one day and on and on. Wish you luck. It is hard work but reaily worth it in the end.

My ex got hypnotized.For her smoking habit.Quit immediately for a year.Then she just decided to start again.It definitely gave her a good start.

It has worked for me. Results vary by practitioner. I had to go a couple of times. I tried a cigarette this past weekend, and it wasn't even interesting - I put it out after a couple of drags.

The gal I worked with was good about identifying situations that caused me to want to smoke and setting up responses for those situations.

It works. I was at a show one time in a bar that had stage shows at State Line Idaho. The hypnotist doing the show on stage hypnotized a bunch of smokers and told them cigarettes would taste like burnt rubber and smell like dog poop and cause them to gag. Told them they would not remember this and woke them up and sent them back to there chairs.

Well when they lit up, it was hilarious, they gagged and sputtered, a couple ever threw up. It was funny.

But wait there is more.

On the morning after I got up at home and made coffee and lit up a cig. AND low and behold, Burnt rubber and smell of dog poop and the gag reflex was overwhelming. Took most of the day before I could smoke a cigarette without the bad taste.

It does work. Hypnosis that is.

The one thing all hypnotists will tell you is if you don't think it will work, it won't. People that don't believe they can be hypnotized won't respond. I have heard of countless smokers who have quit cold turkey from it and I have also seen some hilarious stuff from people who were hypnotized... Some on YouTube some on TV.

If you open up the mind to all that has, is and will be possible then Anything is always possible. Go to your hypnotist with an open mind and relax and take it all in.... it wont hurt anything and I bet you will quit smoking.

My wife was a smoker for 30 years, 1 to 2 packs a day. Went to a hypnotist and quit after the first session. 15 months later she has not had even had a puff of a cigarette. So yes I believe it works. Like any addiction it is up you and how bad you want to quit. I know this from my personal experiences. Just keep a positive attitude, believe that it will work and then keep yourself busy. Pick up a new hobby, start walking, chill with some good music anything to keep your mind occupied.

my wife says that my hobbies cost too much as it is, Fishing and archery are expensive. Hmmm, maybe I can take up golf or something.

Haha I went golfing once with a friend who was pretty serious about the sport. He wasn't having a good day on the course... I still have never seen someone get so angry from chipping shots. I tried to be a nice guy and spot one for him when I should have just kept my mouth shut: "Oh crap man I think that one went in the river!" He just about lost his mind at that point.

well, I found a place in salem, they only charge 50.00 for the session and a free followup session at no additional charge. I am going to give it a go and see if it will work. I am ready to quit. I need the extra money for more fishing gear

I wouldn't have been a believer if I hadn't seen it work on a good friend with my own eyes.
She went in and immediately quit.

Then she went back for a little more help. Next thing I knew, she quit her job as a dept manager at GI Joes and got a job as a store manager somewhere else in town.

About two or three months later she stopped by the store. She looked great! She’d lost weight, looked much healthier and was much more self-confident. She was like a new person!

Made a believer out of me.

All I can say is that my mother was a hard core, your not going to tell me I can't angry smoker for 35 years. Went to hypnosis 15 years ago and has never had a cig since. Still completely amazes me. I never thought she would quit in a million years.

What do you have to lose except an expensive habit that is bad for your health? Good Luck!

That's cheap! I paid about $325 but that was 2 1/2 years ago and I still am smoke free. Was a 2 1/2-3 pack a day guy for about 35 years.

I am going to call them monday morning and see if I can get in thursday. That is the only day I have off right now.
