My wife got me an iPod today***Stop the madness
My birthday is this weekend and since we will be traveling, my wife gave me my gift early, an iPod. So for the last hour I have been filling it up with music. Help somebody stop the madness because its getting really expensive! I stopped at 45 songs and I haven't even dented the memory. GAWD these things freaking rock!

When you get to 8000+, then you'll have a music collection. I have so much stuff, I don't have anything to listen to. Kind of like women and clothes.

got the wife a 80g lumefor her b-day it will hold up to 250 hours of video and a couple songs too

That's how this all started. I got her one last year for Christmas and she uses it all the time. Something about not having to listen to me talk about fishing & hunting

I don't know about ipod but the player I have I just rip music off my cd's using MS Media Player and then sync them onto the player. I have a 4 gig player, loads of music and still lots of room.

The iPod is the same thing. The only difference is it uses iTunes. I myself have an older 4gig Nano. I have it full and usually replace podcasts every day and listen to them while at work.

the only way I have been able to use the ipod effectively is because my smart spouse created folders at the start to keep the music semi-organised. otherwise when you get to the 1000's+++ you will never find the song or music you want to listen to.
have fun with it. we never leave the house without it now. BTW you can take music off any cd's and load them right into your itunes on your PC. It is a quick way to build up your library and you don't pay (again) for the songs because you already did when you bought the cd.

all my wife and i did was put our cd's on ours and we have almost 4 days of music. we havn't spent a dime on i tunes.

Yup I am going to rip a bunch of CD's onto this puppy. Since I have only had it for 13 hours....I just haven't got to it yet

Amen!! I have an 80 gig with over 30 gigs of music and I always seem to listen to the same playlists.
