I live in eastern WA, so maybe things develope early out here, but me and a buddy snuck onto golf course about a month and a half ago, and got into em in the dark on top water poppers. No big ones...but we caught about 10 fish in 30 minutes. Had to make it quick before security got wind of us.... So I guess I'd say that yeah....topwater is definatley a go at this point.

been using buzzbaits for a couple of weeks now and catching a fair amount of fish.

These are all fish that have been caught on the buzz in the last couple weeks.

so go give it a try...... you should be happy with the results.

nah...when you own a house on a golf course and you fish....you just tend to go give it a try once the sun goes down.....hehe.

I certainly don't need to read F&S to know that most golf course ponds are gold mines for big bass. Just gotta get access, or just give it a go in the dark if they say no.

Yesterday was my first good topwater bite. Between 2 of us we got about 10 fish on top. Fish were very cooperative and giving a second chance nearly every time they missed on the first attempt. I was using a hula popper and my buddy was fishing a fly rod with a small popper. Great evening of fishing on a piece of water we had never fished. All in all we caught 32 fish, with about a pound average and the biggest being just over 3!

I used to do my fair share of pond sneaking at night when I was younger. Once when I was 14 2 friends went with me and snuck into a pond about 4 miles from home. We caught around 50 cats and carried them home on a pole that we balanced between us on our shoulders. When I got home we put them in the bathtub and went to bed. My Mom woke me up and made me go out and clean them all while my buddies slept.

Heheh I posted this because in a recent issue of F&S they claim that golf courses are an untapped and unpressured opportunity.. They claim you should dress in dark clothing, bear camo paint and fish the ponds at night from a treeline, always keeping an eye out for security...
I though wow hahah F&S is advocating criminal trespassing, now that is funny.

Your plan sounded very similar
