Thumbs up Bank fishing with an older fisherman / With reort!

Have a friend who asked me to take his elderly Dad bank fishing for Trout on Thursday. I am looking for suggestions on a destination with fairly level ground within an hour or so of Wilsonville that would be productive. Thinking of Detroit but have never fished it from the bank. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hagg lake has a nice fishing platform that you can fish from.

Try the Canby pond. Powerbait on the bottom. Use the area with a railing, its level and safe. Good Luck.

I used to go up to Detroit and fish from the dam. I don't know if they still allow it, but if they do it is the perfect spot for lawnchair fishing. You just drop your bait over the edge and sit back and wait for the fish. I even caught a few kokanee there.

There's a nice platform to fish from at North Fork Reservoir. You can almost drive up and fish. And there's benches and tables on and around the platform.

Good fishing to you wherever you end up.

Thanks guys. Any other tips for bank fishing at Detroit. Seems like with 10,000 fish planted we should be able to catch a few!

Thanks for the pointers. Turned out the guy had a few secret spots of his own in mind. We spent the day fishing around Detroit Lake. He schooled me pretty well. Two limits of very nice trout was the result. Casting spinners did fair, trout bait rigged with a tiny, I mean tiny hook, and an equally tiny amount of bait with a fairly small split shot about a foot from the hook fished close to shore was the hot ticket.
