Great comedian, I first heard of him when I was about 13 years old, and that was a while ago. Loved to listen to him. R.I.P.

We just went to his show in Vegas two months ago. Same old George, lots of energy and he always had something to say about everything, usually with colorful four letter words. Kind of a shock to hear of him passing away. RIP

I remember him on the Flip Wilson Show and Smother's Bros.. The guy had a great way of getting into some genuinely funny characters. He was a real hoot. Anybody remember the Hippy-Dippy Weatherman?

Tonights forecast - dark

Wasn't the best news to hear when waking up this morning. Going to have to see if I can work in all Seven Dirty Words at work today

So sad, beyond the great comedy, the guy was monumental in fighting for our freedom of speech. I'm gonna miss him.

Hey George .. let me know how the big cheese likes that bit you did as a cardinal in the movie 'Dogma'. That was pretty funny stuff right there.

Gonna miss you buddy. How many comedians instigated a supreme court decision?

I remember sneeking out of elementary school and running down to my friends house at lunch to listen to Carlin records (Yes records). Boy did we laugh, thinking about what we were getting away with - good times.

My all time favorites of his, "Carlinisms."

Why does sour cream have an expiration date?

Thanks for the laughs George.

WOW! Where was I this morning?! Obviously not fully awake as I never heard anything and didn't find out until I came home. I would have loved to have had the opportunity to see his live show. He made so many of us laugh. The one bit of his that sticks in my mind the most was from sarcastic retorts to things parents would say to their kids. "I'll wash your mouth out with soap!", reply - "I'll blow bubbles out my ^$$!"

Rest in peace George! Thank You for giving us all so many good laughs and helping us see life a bit differently.

I'll never forget learning the 100+ permutations of the F-Word at age 9. Priceless. And his performance in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure... the man was a legend. I'll miss him.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. G. Carlin
