a salmon question....
I was fishing in Tillamook Bay for salmon on Tuesday; we thought two days after the rain would be enough time for the water to make a difference & hopefully we'd hook up. Well, there were fish, all right, a lot of silvers were even jumping. But no bites. we tried almost everything in the tackle box. Nothing. Later, one guy said that salmon are kinda like little kids, and that when they first get into the bays, they play, e.g., jump a lot, but they're not interested in eating until later, maybe a day or two. As if they're excited (probably not the right word here) about finally getting started on that final journey.....
Is this true, or was he just having some fun at my expense? I hadn't heard this before, and I'm wondering.....
