Diamond Derby this weekend?

Is there a fishing derby this weekend at Diamond Lake? If so, do you think the lake will be extremely crowded with people? Not sure if I want to go brave the crowds. Mark

The camp grounds were filling up Monday when we left. Their were people putting up camps for the weekend already in the 1st come camp grounds. If they do not have all the campgrounds open, then it will be busy.
Remember it is on;ly a ONE day Derby (Saturday the 21).

There were enough boats out there last weekend - hate to see what a derby will look like. Recommendation, bring a bike to ride back to the ramp once you park your rig

Yes, a local Medford sporting goods store derby. Has been promoted alot here locally(TV & paper). Should be fun

stickfish I believe I saw you heading noth sunday afternoon by your sels on th eeast shore. between the two ramps. you were on the inside of us by your self while I had four of use in the north river trowiling south.
2 scotty downriggers (that did not have such a good hook ratio) & a gray top (coustmized frame) & four rods out the back.

That would have been me headed up to load the boat, sorry for the wake - that deep V on my Lund and under 10mph really throws a wake. Here is the Rho Boat - I need more rocket launchers

you were one of the considerate one's as I do not believe their was a wake.
Did I mention that Daimond is a 10MPH lake & if you do not believe this I seen a welcomeing commiety this week end ythat was happy to make your acquance.

Thanks it was tough to keep more that 100' from the boats, toons and float tubes. Running North I finally said - well idol will work. As we say int he Ham Radio world, BEST 73's and gud luck the contest.
