Default I know where RJ is at...ha ha

RJ went to Alaska for a 10 day trip out of Cordova, to the Katela (sp?) river. He was supposed to be back Thursday.

Well I just got word from a guy that barely got out Wed......it rained 6 inches yesterday, high winds, and fog. ............I bet that makes for a LLLOOONNNGGGG couple of days.

Not to worry they stay in little plywood boxes in the middle of bear country....should be some good stories coming.

RJ is back and lives to fish again ,wow what a trip if you love to flyfish for salmon this trip is what memories are made of,50 fish days each were the norm so after 10 days of fishing its not hard to tally up several hundred fish, these fish are just plain bad to the bone with a majority running in the mid to upper teens.I did however have a close incounter with a Brown Bear at 25 yds ,anyone remember the movie Uncle Buck starring John candy and his adventures with a very large Griz ,well yup it was text book I could have filled in for a back up on the film quite nicely  RJ

Hahahah.....that's great RJ!

Give us some more details of the trip. What? Where? How? Who? etc?

Sorry, I'm going to be stuck at home for awhile with new baby in a couple of weeks so I have to live vicariously thru others now!

Glad you made it back in one piece.

Rod ...The river is the Katela its south of Cordova about a 20 minutes plane ride across the copper river delta its either float plane or wheel plane to the fish camp located on the river depending on the tide .The camp is run by my friends brother and wife this is the second time i have been here and the fishing is incredible the scenery, the food, the plywood boxes we sleep in(good one wak) are heated and very comfy. The bears are generally not a problem but there are those exceptions like the formentioned above,he'll make a fine rug though RJ
