have you guys ever had a B&P tourney/derby?

I k now there is a big BBQ coming, but I was thinking it might be fun to organize a few small B&P scouts honor derby's...they could move around to different bodies of water....maybe do a lunch afterwards together and tally results, share stories tactics etc...we could throw 10 bux per man in a hat and have small prizes for most/biggest/ youngest fisherman to catch etc....I dont have a live well and dont want one, but seems like a fun way to get together and fish some new water....I didnt search before posting, so flame away if you guys already do this...its also a way to pair guys without boats with boaters.

When ever $$'s are discussed the mods get excited due to Oregon tourny regs.

But sounds like fun all the same. The problem is getting everyone together at one time/place.
But I was thinking of proposing a fish-in / Bucketheads lunch on the Willamette.
Fathers day I was having lunch at the Rams Horn down in Oswego on the banks of the Willy and was thinking to myself, that I could call a Bucketheads Lunch at the Rams Horn and fish the morning & anchor the boat off shore using the Anchor Buddy & hopp on shore for lunch.

Anyone have any other ideas of another place we could fish, dock & eat, then hopp back in the boats to continue fishing?
Does Newport Bay down on the waterfront allow patron docking?
If I recall, there's a deli on the dock @ the Camas Marina.
Who, Song & Larry's on Macadam?
Any other idea's?
Maybe we could get Domino's to deliver dockside?!!?


Or maybe we could just do a BBQ at Bernert Landing in West Linn, Rooster Rock SP, or Hagg Lk. Fish the morning and have our families meet us there for an IFish Bucketheads Picnic?...that's doable pretty easy. Meet each others families, maybe even do a kids fish'n derby for the afternoon fish.
