Firefox 3.0
Anybody else using Firefox 3.0? What do you think so far?
So far, it's fast. Much faster than IE7 pro. ifish loads really quickly.
So far it seems really usable.

Re: Firefox 3.0
Okay, got's to ask.. I been a Netscape user from day one... but, looks like it will no longer be supported.
Question: how easy is firefox?
Question : E-mail.. does it have its own.. Or stuck with Outlook?.
This should be fun.. finding new save browser & get no virus. had very few of those..
thx for anyinfo.. in the quest to surf the Net & E-mail .

Re: Firefox 3.0
Mozilla email client is Thunderbird. I use it- it is excellent. It will auto-import all your outlook stuff upon startup..

Re: Firefox 3.0
OK, I bit...and installed it. Slower than IE when first loading a page, but once the page is cached, it's pretty quick. But quicker than IE, NOT.
Uninstalled it and will stick with IE7. Popups? I NEVER get them with IE7.
Firefox was absolutely quicker than IE6 - but IE7 was a HUGE improvement.

Re: Firefox 3.0
I downloaded it when I read your post. its still a little jumpy from page to page but it does seem faster. I dont like that it wiped out my history though, I almost exclusively used it to navigate.

Re: Firefox 3.0
Firefox is an easy swap...and well worth it.
I'm amazed that people still use Netscape...Firefox has so many features and add on's that it makes netscape look silly.
I wouldn't be so concerned with speed...I am more concerned with security and features.
Now, how long will it take you guys to stop paying ridiculous prices for Windows? Linux is free and supported! AHHHH, The lovely world of OS.

Re: Firefox 3.0
We just started using FireFox last week, and we like it a lot. I like the speed increase, albiet not much, and I like the memory caching, where you can close it down, and save/quit, so you come right back to where you were. Overall we like FireFox, and will continue using it over IE.

Re: Firefox 3.0
Nothing but good things to say about firefox- simple, clean, fast. Plus, it's got about a bajillion different themes, all sorts of very functional add-ons, just good solid software built by people who are out to make the very best, not a buck.
One word of caution about Thunderbird, which is equally awesome software. If you don't already use outlook, and are trying to access a hotmail (or other MS email), it can be a huge pain in the rear to get it to work. These email clients started charging for the ability to use Outlook, Thunderbird, etc., so they require some workarounds if you don't want to pony up the money to upgrade your hotmail account.

I've been using FireFox for quite a while with no issues. Haven't upgraded to 3.0 yet, but most likely will soon.

Running 24 hours now, on Fire Fox3.0... Works good so far.. no issues or lock up's..
Just do not like the Thunderbird e-mail site. the font's are blurry & overlapping.. not sure what is up with that.
