Default Freshen my memory: plugs n\' stuff

Zukers, hoochies, Cedars, Slapsticks, Rapalas, Crystal Minnows ... Is it the action or the motion? The color or the flash? The depth? The noise and commotion? What makes for a good charlie bait? Is it ok if it skips out of the crest of the waves, or do I want it to stay down? How far down? Should it spiral in the water, or chug like a popper? Injured bait fish, or healthy one running away? How much does size matter?

You must buy and bring at least two of everything... hehehe

No, it is different every day I have gone. Sometimes you cant go wrong 10 or 20 feet down, other times the surface is the ticket. Sometimes I will put a spinglo on the mainline just above the leader to spin, flash and cause a big splash and bubble trail on the surface. other times it seems faster is better, or slower on some days. Also how much line is out can matter. Somedays 100-150 is good, some days 600+ is the only thing that works. On the cloudy days the darker colors are better, on the sunny days the lighter colors work good.

The best tactic is to go on a day with multiple boats with a good represinitive sample of tackel and find and work the fish with other boats till someone hits the magic combo and shares with all.

Sometimes there must be just a little thing that is hard to figure... On thursday I was working a spot with another Ifisher out of depoe bay. Every time through this (small) spot (marked on the gps) I hooked up a fish...
The other boat using the same tactics and tackel on the same spot at the same time could not seem to get a biter to take.... It was strange, they watched me nail seven or eight fish in a row and hit the same spot probably twice as many times as I did and couldnt get a hookup, couldnt tell why, probably some little thing that no one would think of... or they had a bananna on the boat??

Anyhow they are really easy to catch.....except when they are impossible>
