Re: Tree frog hunting-with camera :)
Beautiful little critters. We used to plagued with them, until a subdivision went in in their nesting area and the new people poisoned them due to the noise in spring. I almost miss having one on top of my toothbrush every morning.
Hey if you want to have fun put them on different color backgrounds and in a day they will match it.
If you have a mean streak put them on a blue tarp, try as they might they can't do blue.

Care to part with a full sized version of the last one? It would make a killer desktop.

What kind of camera/lense do you use to do these? They're great.

Re: Tree frog hunting-with camera :)
Ah yes... Pseudacris regilla, the Pacific Tree frog. Sitting in the leaves of Dispaucus sylvestris, or Teasel . Those little guys are this year's crop of new frogs that have just metamorphosed from tadpoles in the last couple of weeks.
Frogs are a favorite subject of mine also.

Canon 20D, 100mm 2.8 macro lens, ringflash ( I think most of these were in the sun without flash)
Nice shot Riverkeeper- looks like it's eating well!
Thanks all for the nice comments.

Re: Tree frog hunting-with camera :)
you guys would have a hay day in my backyard. I have a pond full of pacific tree frogs. There is also a huge green space behind my yard with a creek full of them. We also have the California red legged frog. Its hard to keep from running them over with the lawn mower there is so many of them. Loud buggers too...they are really going at it in the evenings right now.

Re: Tree frog hunting-with camera :)
Lets hear it for the frogs. The music of Spring. I can't imagine poisoning frogs because of the noise. Some folks just ain't got no culture.
