Otc Update

Hey Folks, I went down to Depoe Bay and Newport this
week end and talked to hotel and motel managers to
get availability and starting rates during the Newport
Depoe Bay tournament. Check out the OTC website
for the newly posted info on the Newport Depoe Bay
Tourney page. For you folks fishing out of Depoe Bay be
aware that there is another event scheduled for that
weekend, called the Cruzin, also for charity. They will be
competing for rooms with you staying in Depoe Bay.
Get your reservations in early. Most of the hotels have a
24 hour cancelation rule so will have time to cancel if
we can't fish. We still want everyone to come out to the
BBQ and Captains meeting in any case. Beside the third
times a charm. WE WILL FISH NEWPORT THIS YEAR

on a similar note, Can anyone give me a good hotel recomendation for Newport or Depoe Bay that can accomodate a 24' Boat on trailer in the Parking lot?

last summer on my way thru Depoe I dont remember seeing much that has the room to manuever the boat in...

Cheri & Rod have a mobile home they rent out
I had my 22 ft boat there and it wasn't bad
The house is just off the boat ramp road

You could leave your rig in the ramp parking lot and just walk down and launch in the Morning
But you will need to reserve it soon or it will be rented

If that doesn't work out I do have room for you to park the boat where I keep mine in Glen Eden Beach but you would be on your own for lodging

Money Saver Motel in Newport.

i just did a search for money saver, and came across a picture of the parking lot. Is there really room to maneuver a big trailer in there? Looks like you'd have to do some jockeying and then disconnect from the truck to park...

Maybe theres more than what I saw in the picture?
