Default Thursdays Tuna trip......

Here we go again....I am going Thursday...I believe WP is in. Any others?
I figure leaving at first light 6? or so.

Also, a friend went North, and fished 210 ft off Spanish Head and Lost 3 chinooks and kept a 23 and a 27. All on divers.

Probably yes - Thursday is good for me, but not 100% sure yet.

I might be solo again - If so I would double up again if anyone else is solo or has an extra seat.

UG.

UG-
If you have a seat, I might be able go with you Thursday. Gotta work on the day off though. Range is questionable for my rig, which has kept me out thusfar. Email me if interested at threemuch@yahoo.com.

Wak & WP The weather looks good, so I am planning on coming over Wed. night and sleeping in the camper in the boat launch parking lot. Wak if you have time could I get you to take a quick look at our tuna gear and make a few suggestions on Thursday AM?

Hey ...glad to have you aboard. I have plenty of jigs and gear...so if you need anything I probably have it.

I will be there by a quarter till, the temps look real good... and by the looks of the Bouy report at the pile, it has moved in further.

I will try and send the temp chart to ya...via email.

Hey Wak and Fishwhenican,
I too could use advice...new to charlie. I will be at the ramp before 6. I was in Newport today to help the local economy. Hope I have the goods! I am running a black Hewescraft, just in case  Will have two plus yours truly. Where can you get ice at that hour? Sounds like more fun than I deserve!
WP

There is a Texaco grub and gas station on the south side of the bridge, right where you turn to go down to the ramp. They usually have plenty of block and crushed.
I usually pickup a large coffee to dump in my lap on the way out,,,,ouch.

I'm shooting for thursday too. Hopefully the planets will finally align and we'll be at Depoe around 6:30. I'll try to hail you guys when we get close. Looks promising as close as 124.30 45. If I just get to see tuna finning I'll consider it a successful trip...

Right on Salmonator.... my thought is head to where we were last week...44-59-500...124-42-150. When it gets fishy looking out go the lines...but that is a good place to head for, I think.

It looks better today and the ocean is glassy today and the swell is coming down....I think the tomorrow it will be calming down as the day goes on. Maybe they will be hungry at last...

I think there must be 4 or 5 of us by now.

I am pumped...

Baitboy,
I am willing to go in my rig. Range is somewhat limited to 50 miles or so, and that wouldn't leave us much fuel to troll on, just a few hours.

I hold 125 gallons, mileage from 1-1.5 depending on conditions. I have a couple handlines and three standup rigs ready. No other crew as of yet.

I would have to go tonight, get the rig out of Garibaldi and tow down for launch time at first light tomorrow. Call me.

Hey wak,

I got the terrafin pic just fine. Thank you much, my friend.

I will be hounding Big Jon to get us down to Depoe in the AM.

Wish me luck!! I am just salivating over hooking a torpedo on stand up gear, and having my reel start SMOKIN!!

I will post here if I can twist Puffin's arm hard enough to get us out on big blue tommorrow.

Peace, Tom

Sounds good, the ocean has had no wind all day and a lazy swell that has laid down even more.
First light sounds good, ....
