Default Gerber info?

Fishing & Hunting News had an article indicating Gerber Lake had some large crappie. Knowing that F&H can be old news I am wondering if anyone out there can give me some up to date information.

What was happening there this weekend?

We have never been there and thought we would give it a try if the crappie were decent. We have a silver/gray Hewes Craft with a black top.

I would expect a lot of extra pressure (and campers) after an article on the lake in F&HN. It's like beating your head against the wall. But some folks like doing that...

Thinking about CrappieGirl's posts over the last month or so, I'm going to suggest that she/they pick a good lake and keep going to the same lake, until they really have it learned well.

Pick a good lake, with good structure, that you like going to, and fishes "big". A big lake that fishes "small" isn't a good choice. What you've learned on that lake can be applied to any other lake you fish. Fishing a different lake every weekend won't teach you much, except how to handle frustration. C&R, Steve
