Default fireplace insert

Looking to a install an insert does anyone make an insert that adapts to split wood or pellets by changing a few parts it would be nice to do both

I don't think one is made. I own 2 pellet inserts and love them both but with the whole configuration of a pellet stove it is not truly feasible. There is the auger & a blower fan and the chimney connections.
The only thing I might do different is since I do not have a ability to lift 40lb bag of pellets is I might go with a gas insert next time and there is no real cleaning of a gas insert. Don't get me wrong I love my pellet stove heats my whole place and cuts way back on the furnace use.

I'd stick with a regular woodstove and get the pressed logs if you want to run "pellet" fuel.
