Default Tuna tomorrow?

I can't stand it!

That SST from Hamachi just looks too good to be true.

Ok so I could have the day off tomorrow. Thursday is a plane ride to Grande Prairie Alberta for a vacation at a sawmill there. How can I get out Wed., kill some fish, get it recovered and make my flight.

Hmmm..... What would I do with the fish anyway?

Man, I want to go so freakin bad, I can taste it.

Help! I need tuna-non and 12 step now. Does anyone else want to fish Depoe tomorrow?>

Keta?, Corrirod?, Wak?, Uglygrn?

BTW the forecast is ugly. But it does not agree with conditions. 4 and 4 predicted with 20 kt wind. Actual is 5 kt wind and 4 ft swells.

Hmmmmmm......

WED...N WIND INCREASING TO 25 KT...EXCEPT NW 20 KT NORTH OF CLATSOP SPIT. WIND WAVES 4 FT. NW SWELL 4 TO 5 FT AT 8 SECONDS S.
WED NIGHT...NW WIND 25 KT EASING TO 15 KT N AND 20 KT S... WIND WAVES 4 FT. NW SWELL 5 FT.

I'll call you with the numbers for Tunanon...

Alas the weather is merde du chien.

I can't figure the 46050 bouy out. Flat all day and a 10kt or so wind. Meanwhile our intrepid Tuna hunters Wak and RJ are taking a beating up by tuna town. What, maybe 25 miles away?

Reality has set in. The weather forecast is deteriorating with 8 ft swell in the near future. I will use the day off to prepare the boat. Maybe soon after my vacation at the sawmill is over the boat will be going coastal once again.

The next real shot for 'Pilar' is on the weekend after labor day.

'Bill' belongs over the fireplace. If you see him, just let me know.

I feel for ya Pilar - We got a big trip planned this Sat. out of CR. The good news is they've been wrong a lot up at the CR this year. I cancelled some folks coming down one Monday - forecast was building to 11-14  It had been pretty bumpy on Sunday so we didn't want them to drive down and waste some good sleep.
I woke up at 4 am on the boat and the harbor was still as a tomb (Warrenton). Got up - walked around and thought - lets go. Turned out to be one of the flattest days this year. Go figure. I think those guys are getting trained by your local TV weather personalities.

more than likely a wise choice Pilar..I will keep up the Bill watch though maybe If he's headed north I will cross paths with him if I see him on my flight south of Cordova this friday I will mark the spot for a retrieval then again...if he washes up on one of those deserted Bear infested beaches dude your on your own  RJ will be away for a couple weeks puttin the hurt to the silvers and Reds on a small stream south of the Copper river delta so you guys be careful and leave a few tuners for me  RJ

Pilar,

I am also thinking of heading out, BUT need to really watch what the wind is doing later tonight or in the a.m.. This system that is suppose to hit has still not materialized and may not for another day or so. With a NW swell as small as it is and a flat ocean, it takes it awhile to be a problem and by then we would be heading back with it pushing us home. I will be in touch with you tonight if it seems like a go. We know the fish are there!!
