Pilar, it looks like Bill could be 16 or 17 miles off of Tillamook right now. If the seas were forcast to be flatter I would be out tomorrow guaranteed. Looking foward to Wak's report...

Get'um Wak! Don't stop till you've got blood on the boat! (preferably the tuna's and not yours or RJ's)

Re: Tuna here we come...
We are back...and I have to run to Medford (short day)....we went to the pilar 61 and the wind outside 25 miles sucked.
I was blowing over 20kt by 7:30, even though the beach was fine.
We caught 5 and put foot prints on the side of the house...YUK.
We were back by 11am..... I think we are in for a blow...but the fish are still there.

Re: Tuna here we come...
Wak'em
Its got to be some weird winds out there. Right now (3:45pm) its blowing 6 mph at the stonewall bank and almost 20 on the jetty. I would have gone today in a heartbeat if it wasn't for a water empeller needing replaced. Its funny, its not so bad Not going out tuna fishing when I know nobody else is going, But when you think somebody else is out there slayin the fish and I am on the beach, it drives me nuts. I know that sounds weird but most tuna die hards are.
I applaud your effort.

Re: Tuna here we come...
Very well put Marty....
speaking of wind, what the heck is with the forecast for the weekend...it's the first of September for crying out loud -- it should be flat....
I'm still holding out hope for a better forecast -- I'm reading for a tuna trip Saturday and Sunday....

Re: Tuna here we come...
well we did look for Bill ,sorry we couldnt find him Pilar, maybe someday we'll run across him sticking out of the water kinda like the movie Sword in the Stone....um yea...as wak mentioned above conditions were not reel fun The Wak'm did real well though(the boat) she's beginin to be quite the huntress as we ran back to Depoe she T-boned a blue shark we didnt see looked like a sequel right out of Jaws, meat and matter floating everywhere.that ol' saying deer in the headlight look will now be replaced with shark in the outdrive
