Bear makes TV

The "Kings Valley Bear" made TV the last 2 nights. Yeah, the Eugene ABC affiliate, KEZI, has been running stories on it.

Hmmm. I'm not sure if I'd rather wake up in the morning to a bear at my window or a reporter at my front door.

Having been through both now....yeah, it's a toss up.

At least the bear didn't eat the reporter. My mastiff tried to, though, which is probably why he didn't make it on the story.

You know, I walked into the Kings Valley Store today and was immediately drawn into conversation by the employee and 2-3 other patrons. In the course of buying a 6 pack, I ended up taking 20 minutes to explain to a Prius-driving couple why they couldn't just relocate the bear.

I've learned in the last 2 months in a very personal way what many of us have said for years in a very general way, "The average Oregonian knows nothing about management but loves the 'furry little guy.' "
