Beautiful day on the big pond, maybe 20 or so boats fishing on flat ocean, we didnt even have to back into the swells today to get our rigs down. Big change from last time out. FB fillets are making my aching back a little more bearable. Thats all the 800' deep fishing for this yr. anyway.

Hi Mr.Fisherman,
It sounds like you guys had better weather on Saturday. We went out on the Sundance Friday. It was a bit sloppy going out and foggy all the way. There were five in our crew. We limited the boat by 11:30 , but had to work for them .There were some 5 to 7 foot swells which made a bit more work than expected . I got my biggest BFB to date . 55" and a fat 68lbs.!!! YeeeeeHawwwww!!!. Just got my Vac Pak back in time to fill the freezer.  Our catch was 34" 37"40 " 51" and 55". Hope you all did as well. Take Care, Tom

Yes it was an adventurous day and I had a great time out there. Mr F. was a kick in the pants and is no longer a deep water rookie. After hooking up on his BFB he was all hoots and hollar, **** and vinagar "come to papa". But after about 400' of line he faded fast - through down the hat and peeled off the coat. It was fun and a joy to see the exuberance. "REEL RAY".........was the war cry. He was just tuckered out  Next time save some for the last 300'-400' bud.

Thanks Kurt for the chance to put a little Halibut into the larder. The ling was excellent deep fried at my friends birthday party. I much enjoyed the company too.

GdddRRACIAS.
