We saw the same fogginess farther north past Cape Falcon all day too... We brought in 4 Coho, mainly in the 50 foot range... we tried as deeper, down to 125 feet, but didn't get a hit for the hour it was down there... Congrats on your catch.. Craig

Default Garibaldi 8-23

Went out of Garibaldi Yesterday (fri) to try and get in on the good chinook action as of late..Foggy calm bar even on a minus .9 low tide..stayed foggy all day with visibility about 300 yds..Cold water 49 degrees inside so went out to 275 ft between Twin Rocks and Nehalem where it was 53 degrees..seemed to be alot slower fishing than earlier in the week..We ended up releasing maybe 8 or 10 silvers and keeping 3 chinooks including a nice 38 lb slab..Fishing 12 oz lead from 15 to 40 pulls and whole herring..38 lber was at 15 pulls with green rotary killer..ocean was flat all day...Many thanks to Dennis and Marie at Tillamook Bait for being so forthcoming with information as to where the fish were....
