Default Kunnan Rod broke

I was wondering if any one had another rod (broken) laying around that I could maybe combine with my 9 ft 10-30lb rod. If not I have parts for someone?

Wow...I thought I was the only one thad had and used one of those. I figure it's got to be close to antique by now. I bought mine years ago for about $30.00 just after they quite making them. I think the Kunans in their time were top of the line rods. I hung mine up last spring when I bought a North River 7'9" 15-40# back bouncer.

Sorry I can't let the Kunan go to help you out, too many good memories.

You would do yourself good to get that North River at Fishermans when it goes on sale, it's superior to the Kunan for a boat rod.

What a bummer, I remember when the factory burnt down. Great rods. I too stepped up to the north river..

My Kunan needs a new tip...the old ceramic popped out, and I epoxied it back in but it looks like it could go again at any time. So I just need a new tip and I'll be ready to go. This rod is one of my favorites for sure.

Is funny hearing from you all and the stories each has with these rods. I actually broke mine last september on my biggest coho to date. He went under the boat and surfaced at the other side and I bumped the rod on the side of the boat which resulted in a 4 pc. rod. I did get he fish on a stub of a rod and was real thankful when I saw it was fin clipped. I have a couple trout rods also and there tips have shortened over the years. I have never looked at the north river rods but herd that they were the same as the ww grigg rods. I have now replaced the rod with a all star rod in 9ft 10-30 lb and it seems much better and american made.
