So, John what problems are you having with them? I have a trini 30 that I got and the first thing I did was rebuild the drags with carbon fiber and put a new bushing in it. Fishes like a dream now.

Rick, drags never stay set, always backing off since day I bought them, may have to call Shimano and talk to Dave

Look at the Daiwa Saltist 40 they are a nice reel. Recently purchased a few and they seem good so far. They can hold 500+ yards of 65 # Tuff Line. You'll save quite a bit of $$$ as well. If you are looking at spending the $$$ look at the Daiwa Saltiga, it is an up graded version of the Saltist. Just my .

If you buy the drag upgrades I'll put them in for you.. available at Charkbait. The shimano drags are notorious for slippage in the trini's and the toriums. I'm not sure about the Tiagras but I think they are carbon fiber.. I got my trini 30 used and the first thing I did was get the drag upgrades.. I could only get like 5-7 Lbs of drag out of it but it was used.
