I talked to Corrirod and we were thinking Wed maybe the best day, surely by then we will have some new temp charts.

By the looks of the Coastwatch image, the cloud cover has been preventing a good image lately. One clue to look at, for what it's worth, is the Yaquina weather bouy (46050). The sea temp was 52 yesterday, but has increased steadily today, hitting 55.2 at 5 pm. Also note that the wind backed off today. So it may be creeping up on the outside too.

It's been my experience that when the SST moves back in as fast as it has in the last two days it over-runs the Green Water for a day or two. If it continues to push onshore for another day or two it pulls the Blue in with it, especially along depth breaks. Looking at the 45/124.20 line, there is a 15 fathom break in depth. At approx. 19 miles from DB, I would think it would be worth a look-see.
Just my $.02 worth.
Cheers

Thanks for the help Popeye.

I can tell by your email that you must be feeling under the weather. Are you sure that you shouldn't maybe take the rest of the day off and maybe even tomorrow in order to get rid of the bug?

Just a suggestion from a concerned friend.

Thanks Popeye.....I was looking at the same thing......My thought was run there (at least it is warm enough to put jigs out), and then fish out the 45 towards tuna town.

We have a beautiful ocean tomorrow....andf I have a good feeling....
