Wak,

I usually run my divers on my 40' hand lines. I will
sometimes vary that and run them off my 20' handlines
directly off the stern if the fish are not as deep.
The best thing about the divers (besides the fact that
they will pull the deeper water fish up) is that they
allow you to pull another handline in over the top
of it without tangling!

A tip: When you get a fish on your diver, resist the
urge to pull it in right away. The diver flips over
when a fish hits and brings the fish to the surface.
A fish bouncing along on the surface will
often times draw more fish up from deeper water to
hit your other lines!

Another tip: It's a lot easier to pull those monsters
into the boat at the end of the day if you reserve
them as the last lines in the boat. Stop the boat
before you try to pull 'em!!
