Default Diamond lake archery

I was thinking about hunting in the area of diamond lake as I will be up there in early aug and would be intrested in scouting areas for deer and elk having never been in the area I was wondering where a fella might snoop around for a area or road systems with trail heads that holds both deer and elk.

Muleys on over towards Hwy 97 - Blacktails back towards Roseburg. Not a ton of deer around the lake. Too high and not enough good browse. Elk towards Lemolo lake, Mowich and on down towards Steamboat. Find the water-find the elk.
