Don't know any of the places up there. Sorry.

As for technique, are you fishing from a boat or from the bank?

Find your local sporting goods store and try to find someone with some knowhow about the local bass fishery. This will give you a great head start.

Plastics, plugs and spinnerbaits will all take fish it's just a matter of what kind of water or structure you might be fishing, not to mention what the fish is in the mood for.

I will say this I always have Rat-L-Trap's, Yum Dinger's with me.

I've decided that if you C & R 100% of the time that I believe you are contributing to stunted fish, and I will not help ANYONE on this forum who does not agree with me 100% because I think I'm that important.

Please type in Bold : I WILL PRACTICE SELECTIVE HARVEST 100% OF THE TIME and swear by it by picking a scab and take a vile of Bass blood and rub it into the wound.

If you do not....I'm taking my ball and I'm going home!

If catch a big one I'll let it go and keep the one that's just barely legal. Would that qualify as agreeing with you?
Thanks

hehe....yes...i suppose that would be agreeing with me. Be sure not to forget about declaring in bold font and rubbing bass blood into a freshly molested wound site. ......just a little tongue in cheek humor regarding a recent thread.

Seriously though.....do a "Search" using the search button on the upper right corner of the screen. There is so much valuable bass info in the archives of this site you could read for months.

Try Lake Stevens it has some small mouth abd large mouth bass and it is not too far from you. It's a deep lake but has soem shallow areas.
If you would like to know more about the lake.
The state has tested the lake and talks about findings:
http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/warmwater/li...akestevens.pdf
Also Lake Goodwin is a good lake for you to try!
Try fishing plastics early in the morning.

Thanks Roger
I know where Lake Goodwin is my kids and I fish there two weeks ago for trout, I'll go talk to the local sporting good store on how to catch them.

Yes, I've NEVER intentionally killed a bass and have no intention of ever doing so. To each his own.

Lk. Stevens is locally known as a very tough lake. I had some great results on Lk. Rossinger. I liked the 3rd section(far end)...try the mouth of the creek, there's a very nice dropoff, and inflowing water is almost always a very good thing. Also fish on the point opposite, and the heavy cover on the NW shore from there. Unweighted Senko or splitshot a craw or lizard should work.

Martha Lake was written up in H&FN in a recent issue, but I can't recall ever fishing it. Cottage Lake might be ok for the kids...electric only, I think. Lake Ki was mentioned in the same article. It's west of Smokey Point, on the way to Goodwin and Shoecraft. Not sure it's in Snohomish County.

Goodwin is a real good lake, but Shoecraft might be less impaired by water turds (technical term for Jet Skiis ), as the launch ramp sucks, or did when I went some years ago. Both are very clear, with rocky bottoms. Pray for clouds (that should be a good bet, of late), and use light line. Splitshotting 5" Zoom lizards (green pumpkin, mossy pumpkin, or watermelon) would be a good ploy, as would 4" and 5" Senkos in light colors. Both have LM and SM bass.

Flowing Lake is supposed to be good for numbers of keeper sized fish...electric only, I think. I went to the lake across the street, and can't remember the name of it. It was open to operation of gas motors, had a nice dock & launch, but it happened that I had the canoe that day. North of Monroe, past Rossinger (launch parking is a problem on Rossinger, so you have to be there early). I can't think of any other Snohomish County lakes I've fished that I'd recommend. I'll have to dig out a map.

C&R, Steve
(but keeping some small bass would be a good thing!)
