Default Best Camera Software Question

What do you think is the best software program for doing digital photos? I just bought the wife a Canon SX100IS for her birthday today.. She does not know yet and we have been contemplating a new software package. We just use it for family pictures and vacations but like to make disk to send out for gifts. The reviews on this camera are great. Thanks for any input.

If you mean editing digital photos, then Adobe Photoshop is what the pros use. I don't need all that "horsepower", and besides it's too complicated for what I need.
For color corrections and cropping I use Google's Picasa, which is free and gets the job done sufficiently.
For making disks you can just use what comes with Windows. Go to "My Pictures" or whatever folder you keep the pictures in, select the ones you want to copy, then click on "copy to CD".

Adobe has a Photoshop Elements that is easy to use. You can catalog and tag photos so they are easy to find and it has good editing capabilities. You can buy it bundled with Premiere Elements for about $100 and then add video to things too. Slide shows, movies, or mix them together, add music and then output them to web applications, CD's or DVD's.

But there are good free things too.

I'd vote for the Photoshop Elements, like STG mentioned. It's a lot cheaper and is fairly easy to use. If my sister can use it, most others can also. I personally use the full Photoshop version, along with the other Adobe products.
