Give me your numbers and I will give you mine! Oops, I don't have any numbers.

What is the history of this spot? Maybe we can have on offshore treasure hunt.

The numbers to Nelson Island are

N 44 39.00
W124 44.00

I don't know any history about this location other than at times it can be a good tuna magnet.

Thanks Marty, they closely match mine. My friend Mike who owns and runs the charter boat Blitz told me that the history of Nelson Island is that a few charter boat operators kept the location of Nelson's under wraps for many years. So much so, that he wouldn't even tell me the #'s. It not only is a tuna magnet, but it holds some big Halibut also. On my 3D Bathy Chart it looks like a big table top mountain like you would see in the desert.

Does anyone know if there are any goverment of other free/cheap depth surveys available with a higher resolution (better than the NOAA charts)? Also, bottom texture/composition?

Nelson's is on the chart. It's the 67 with the circle around it. About 2 times as far as stonewall on the same line.
